Alan Shearer believes Antonio Conte should be concerned about his Chelsea FC future given the Blues’ past success changing their managers.

The Italian coach is coming under pressure at Stamford Bridge following a disappointing start to 2018.

Chelsea FC slumped to their second successive Premier League defeat following a surprise 4-1 loss at Watford last week.

The Blues have conceded seven times in their last two top-flight outings after a 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge at the end of January.

Conte hasn’t been afraid to criticise the Chelsea FC board over their transfer policy to fuel speculation surrounding his future.

Chelsea FC have appointed a staggering 10 managers since Roman Abramovich bought the west London club, while Guus Hiddink and Jose Mourinho have managed the Blues twice under the Russian oligarch.

Former Newcastle striker Shearer believes Chelsea FC’s past success in terms of impatiently axing their managers means Conte should be very worried about his future.

“The problem for Conte is that the “stupid way” appears to have worked for Chelsea in the past,” Shearer is quoted as saying by Metro.

“It seems that instability is the new stability. Unfortunately against all common sense it seems the Blues have been onto something for some time — the constant ‘bounce back’ that a new manager gives them.
