The Frenchman will be out between four and six weeks with a knee injury
It’s just got a lot worse for Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette, with the club confirming the striker will be out between four to six weeks with a knee injury.
The club confirmed through a statement on Twitter that he’d undergone an arthroscopy on his left knee on Tuesday morning which will require a period of rehabilitation.
This is bad news for Arsenal’s lofty Europa League hopes, with Danny Welbeck now their ONLY available senior striker for their upcoming clash with Ostersund.
January signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is ineligible to play in the Europa League this season, as his former club Borussia Dortmund are also competing in the last 32.
The Gunners also carted out Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott in January to Chelsea and Everton respectively.
