Ashley Young’s second goal against Watford was so good that he celebrated way before the ball hit the back of the net
Former Watford player. Former winger. Now Man United’s left-back. Go figure.
If Watford fans thought seeing their former favourite son taking up a left-back slot was strange, what Young did in the first-half was really going to spin them out.
Mr. Versatile put United ahead in the 19th minute with a sharp finish from the edge of the box.
Then, as if to really rub it in, he sent a ballistic free-kick past a stationary Heurelho Gomes six minutes later.
The whole of Hertfordshire stunk of top bins.
So good was Young’s free-kick that he was celebrating long before the ball hit the back of the net.
A good few seconds before Young’s shot whistled into the top corner he was sprinting off into the corner.
