Antonio Conte may have tasted Premier League success at Chelsea last season, but the Italian’s long-term future at the club has been called into question.

As reported by Standard Sport on Friday, Chelsea are believed to have begun looking at potential replacements for Conte in the event the 48-year-old leaves this summer.

Conte’s current deal at Stamford Bridge expires in 2019 but, when asked about his position at Chelsea, he told reporters on Friday: “Everything is possible. 

“I have another year of the contract, but as you know very well in football everything is possible.

“In one moment you stay here or another moment you stay at another place, or another person replaces you in your job.”

Despite those comments Conte, who is thought to be admired by French giants Paris Saint-Germain, insisted he is “very happy” at Chelsea.
