Coronation Street star Bruno Langley has pleaded guilty to sexual assault.

The actor, who played Todd Grimshaw in the ITV soap, grabbed a woman by the crotch and touched a second victim on her “boobs and bum”, Manchester Magistrates’ Court heard this morning

Langley, wearing a suit in the dock, confirmed his name, date of birth and his UK nationality before entering guilty pleas to two counts of sexual assault where he touch two different women without their consent at Band on the Wall nightclub, Manchester, on October 1.

Prosecutor Karen Saffman told the court Langley was at the venue on that night and was ‘clearly intoxicated’.

At about 1am his first victim went upstairs to collect her coat before intending to leave, the court heard.

As she made her way back towards the stair Langley grabbed her in the crotch, the court heard.

“He grabbed me properly. He grabbed me on the crotch,” the woman later told police, the court was told.

The woman detailed how Langley had grabbed her over clothes and she detailed how it made her feel. She told police she felt ‘shocked and angry’.
