Brighton vs Crystal Palace
Arguably the biggest match on Tuesday night in the Premier League is Brighton vs Crystal Palace.
The Seagulls and the Eagles are known for hating each other, even if the source of the conflict between the sides isn’t always crystal clear.
But understanding why Seagulls and the Eagles detest each other is now a little besides the point.
The rivalry is very real, and the last time the sides met in the Championship playoffs in 2013, the infamous ‘poogate’ scandal erupted.
Palace paint Brighton red
On Monday night it seemed pretty certain that a few Crystal Palace fans vandalised property in Brighton.
A huge artwork of Brighton defender Bruno on the corner of a building on Church Street was defaced.
A massive amount of red spray paint covered the Bruno picture.
Brighton fans moved quickly to try to fix the mess, while the graffiti seems to have raised tensions between the fans even higher before Tuesday’s match.
