CORONATION Street actor Bruno Langley has AVOIDED jail, after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting two women.
The 34-year-old appeared in Manchester Magistrates Court today, charged with two counts of sexual assault.
The allegations related to the evening of October 1, when Langley was drunk and in the Band on the Wall music venue, in Manchester.
While in the venue he touched one woman by the crotch and the other by her “boobs and bum”.
This morning he pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault and was told by District Judge Mark Hadfield that he could face a possible jail sentence.
However, after deciding to sentence this afternoon at the Magistrates Court, Judge Hadfield handed down a 12 month community order, 40 days of rehabilitation and the disgraced ITV soap star will also be on an electronically monitored curfew, for 12 weeks.
He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders register for five years and was ordered to pay his two victims £250 each.
His mother and other members of his family, who had cried in the public gallery when Langley entered his guilty pleas, showed no reaction when Judge Hadfield passed sentence.
However, Langley stood in the dock, his eyes closed for several seconds, when he realised he would not be going to jail.
