Spanish club Valencia could be set for a double swoop for two Manchester United players in the summer. The in-form La Liga outfit could be boosted by a great deal if they surely land both their targets.
One of the entries on their list is Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini. After reports claiming earlier that the former Everton midfielder is wanted by Turkish club Besiktas, it now seems that Valencia too, have grown fond of him, and are monitoring the situation very closely, as he is yet to agree to a new deal at Manchester United.
According to The Sun, Valencia want to get a pre-contract agreement done with the player in January itself. Fellaini refused United’s new offer months earlier, and is currently in his final season at the club, after the Premier League giants triggered his one-year extension last season.
Reports have erupted that Besiktas wish to sign Fellaini for free in the summer, but with Valencia’s reported agreement in January itself, the Belgium international might end up securing a move to Spain instead.
However, there is still some hope that United will get him to sign a new deal and not upset Jose Mourinho in the process, as reported by the Independent a day earlier. Fellaini is a vital asset for the Portuguese’s plans, and the tactician wants the player to continue life in Manchester and help the side.
