Emre Can has handed Liverpool an injury boost ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Stoke City.
The German international midfielder was absent from Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea after suffering a muscle problem.
However, Can was back in training for the Reds on Monday evening as Jurgen Klopp put his players through their paces at Melwood ahead of the visit to Mark Hughes’ Potters this week.
The news will be another welcome midfield fitness boost for Klopp, who saw Adam Lallana make his first appearance of the season in Saturday’s draw with Antonio Conte’s side.
Lallana had been injured since August after picking up a thigh problem, but the England midfielder played his first few minutes of the season in the closing stages against the Premier League champions.
The 29-year-old is unlikely to start against Stoke, but Can could come straight back into the side as Klopp looks to juggle his options ahead of what is an extremely busy December.
One player who is likely to miss out on the trip to Stoke however is Dejan Lovren.
