Real Madrid have seemingly ended their chase for a Chelsea playmaker but are said to be in talks with a Blues defender, while defender Sime Vrsaljko wants to leave Atletico Madrid in January, all in the Euro papers.
REAL MADRID TO END HAZARD INTEREST
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to give up on chasing Chelsea star Eden Hazard in order to appease Marco Asensio.
Zinedine Zidane is said to be keen on landing Hazard in 2018 after the La Liga giants missed out on the Belgium star in the summer.
However, reports in Spain claim that Perez will not move for Hazard for fear of upsetting Real’s rising star Asensio.
According to Diario Gol, Perez made a pact with Asensio that he would protect the player’s development at Real and bringing in Hazard would certainly affect that.
The report goes on to state that Perez will stick firmly to his word and ensure that doesn’t happen.
LA LIGA GIANTS IN DAVID LUIZ TALKS
David Luiz has already held transfer talks with Real Madrid, according to a report.
Luiz’s future has been speculated on ever since he was dropped for Chelsea’s big clash with Manchester United earlier this month.
Antonio Comte preferred to use Andreas Christensen in his starting line-up and afterwards suggested he was not happy with the player’s efforts in training.
Asked if Luiz had a future immediately after the match, Conte told Sky Sports: “I don’t know. He has to work really hard otherwise they are on the bench or in the stand.”
