Liverpool supporters wishing to welcome the team bus ahead of tonight’s clash with Man City are informed of a change of route along Arkles Lane.

Plans for a grand entrance for Jurgen Klopp‘s side are in place, with the manager saying: “For us it’s wonderful, it’s great, it shows everything. It shows the passion.”

A similar welcome was put in place ahead of the Europa League semi-final second-leg clash with Villarreal at Anfield in 2016, with the Reds overturning a one-goal deficit to win 3-1 on aggregate.

The influence of the atmosphere in and around the stadium is clear, but supporters have been issued a warning regarding an altered route:

“Supporters are advised the team coaches are not taking their usual route past the King Harry pub,” Merseyside Police confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.

“Due to building works and to ensure the safety of fans, they will instead travel along Arkles Lane, passing The Arkles pub before turning right onto Anfield Road.”
