Joe Gomez has admitted that he has been impressed by Mohamed Salah’s “ridiculous” start to life at Liverpool FC.

The Egypt international has been one of the Merseyside outfit’s top performing players this season since signing for the Reds from Roma in the summer transfer window.

Salah continued his brilliant form for Liverpool FC when he scored his side’s opener in their 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Anfield on Saturday evening.

The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals and made two assists in 13 Premier League games for Liverpool FC so far this season.

And Reds defender Gomez has admitted that he has been taken aback by just how good Salah has started the season with the Merseyside outfit.

Speaking in an interview with Liverpool FC’s website, Gomez said: “It’s ridiculous.

“He’s come in and he’s been a massive addition to us, unbelievable. The goals he has scored but also his general play, his link-up.

“Our whole attacking force is quality, everybody knows that, so hopefully he can keep doing it for us.”

Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Wednesday afternoon when the Reds travel to the bet365 Stadium to take on Stoke City.

Their draw with Chelsea on Saturday left Jurgen Klopp’s men in sixth place in the Premier League table and 14 points behind leaders Manchester City after 13 games of the new campaign.
