Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi would rather see Mesut Özil at Nou Camp than Liverpool’s playmaker Philippe Coutinho, according to the reports.
The Daily Star suggested that Argentinian superstar has called on Barcelona chiefs to sign German playmaker for free next campaign, rather than spending money on Brazilian attacker.
The Merseyside Reds have already rejected several bids for Coutinho, so it’s difficult to say whether they accept an offer from the Catalan giants next summer.
It could convince Ozil to snub interest from Manchester United as such a great player reportedly wants to play with him at Nou Camp.
The Gunners should ideally want to keep him at Emirates Stadium as he is capable of putting in the incredible performances.
Former Real Madrid star created eight chances last weekend in a 5-2 win over Everton, more than any player in the Premier League this term.
And if the World Cup winner is capable of putting such performances he would be an ideal addition to Barcelona.
Mesut Ozil’s current deal set to expire at the end of the current campaign and Barcelona can sign him for free if German playmaker agrees to make a return to La Liga.
