The Brazilian finally completed his long-awaited dream move to Barcelona this week, putting pen to paper on a whopping £145m deal.
While Coutinho enjoyed some fantastic times at Liverpool, developing into one of the finest playmakers in the world, at Barcelona he can add trophies to his resume.
And last night rubber stamped the step up he’s just taken.
Barcelona completely annihilated Celta Vigo in the Copa del Rey last 16, winning 5-0 on the night and 6-1 on aggregate to book their last eight spot.
Unsurprisingly, Lionel Messi was in sumptuous mood, scoring twice inside the opening 20 minutes to effectively put the tie to bed before Celta could catch breath.
But it was Messi’s assist for Jordi Alba’s goal which had everyone talking.
