Liverpool recorded a dominant 5-0 victory over Porto in their first Champions League last-16 clash since 2009 at the Estadio do Dragao.

Porto 0-5 Liverpool

Goals: Mane 24′, 53′, 85′, Salah 29′, Firmino 69′

It was a cagey start for the Reds but Sadio Mane broke the deadlock when his low strike dribbled over the line following a goalkeeping error.

James Milner‘s thunderous effort smashed the post minutes afterwards but Mohamed Salah showed composure to slot in the rebound and double Liverpool’s first-half lead.

The Reds continued to dominate in the second half and Roberto Firmino‘s superb backheel helped set up a second goal for Mane and a third for Liverpool with half an hour left to play.

Firmino then scored the goal his performance deserved before Mane scored Liverpool’s first European hat-trick away from home since Michael Owen in 2002.

Here are all the reactions from supporters on social media…

Fans hoped Mane’s goal would bring him confidence and they were in awe of Salah’s composure for the second…

“Salah what a beauty! That composure…and Milner, what a strike!”
