Raul Jimenez, the Benfica forward seems to be once again being linked with Liverpool. Last year in the January transfer window Jimenez name was linked with Liverpool but nothing materialised. It seems that the rumour is once again doing the rounds as the summer transfer window approaches.

According to report, the rumour has come into the light once again because of a ‘Rabona’ assist which Jimenez provided in the last weekend encounter. Benfica seems confident that their ace striker is good enough to play in top leagues as they look to make good money out of him by selling him.

Jimenez was part of Atletico Madrid squad in the 2014-15 season. After that, he was heavily linked with a loan move to West Ham but somehow the deal fell and he joined Benfica. He managed just 21 appearances for Atletico Madrid as he was competing for a place with Antoine Griezmann and  Mario Mandzukic.

Benfica is willing to sell him for good money and that good money will be in upward of 50 million euros as the Eagles rejected a bid from China last year. With that kind of money being rejected, it is difficult to see how Jimenez who is almost 27, will go for a higher amount. Jimenez can surely make his name if he can perform well in the World cup. But as of now, it is highly unlikely that he will go for such huge figures.
