Liverpool and Chelsea played out an entertaining draw at Anfield on Saturday evening.

Mohamed Salah and Willian cancelled each other out in a game that also saw Mane and Firmino benched before kick-off.

Many fans were surprised at Klopp’s decision to leave two of his chief attackers on the bench.

But Klopp has now revealed that they were merely being rotated in order to ensure they were fit for tomorrow night’s game against Stoke.

“It made sense at this part of the season to use the strength of the squad,” he said.

“It’s not completely unlikely they will start (v Stoke).”

Liverpool have endured some rough games against Stoke at the Bet 365 Stadium over the years.

They famously lost their 6-1 two years ago in Steven Gerrard’s final game for the Reds.

And Klopp also called on Liverpool fans to help carry them to victory.

“They can make all the difference,” the German added.

“I’m pretty sure that at Anfield, we are 3-0 up, it (Sevilla) wouldn’t have happened.

“Football only works when we all work together. You feel it. You can imagine, it’s the difference. That’s how it is for us.

“We can perform better when the atmosphere is there.”
