That’s the verdict of former Arsenal and England defender Martin Keown, who says Jurgen Klopp will have a plan in mind to beat the Blues.

Liverpool currently sit fourth in the Premier League and go into Sunday’s showdown off the back of a 17-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

They play host to City, having been thumped 5-0 by Pep Guardiola’s men at the Etihad back in September, when Coutinho was absent.

However, Keown insists Liverpool have the quality to take the game to City despite their former talisman’s move to Barcelona.

“Manchester City will be harbouring some hope of going the whole season unbeaten now,” he told the Daily Mail

“I don’t care what they say – they are very proud men.

“But Liverpool will be heartened by what they saw Bristol City do in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

“They played long balls behind the full-backs, they identified a weakness and didn’t quite have the quality to finish off some of that approach play. 

“Jurgen Klopp will have a plan to execute too and will know there are weaknesses.

“The game against Bristol City was probably the right game for City to have an off-night. 

“If they have an off-day against Liverpool, then their unbeaten run could be over. 

“Liverpool can score two or three goals in a very short space of time, even despite the sale of Philippe Coutinho.

“City have set all sorts of records but this will be one they are getting ready for.
