Alexander-Arnold in line for improve contract at Liverpool

Liverpool are reportedly close to rewarding Trent Alexander-Arnold with an improved contract after impressive for the club during the ongoing campaign.

The teenager only signed a long-term deal with the Reds last summer, but his swift progress this term has urged the hierarchy to reward him once more.

Alexander-Arnold has had a couple of average performances against the likes of Manchester United and Crystal Palace, but barring this, he has been hugely influential from the right side of the defence.

Alexander-Arnold had a strong showing against Manchester City during the double-legged quarter-final tie, but according to The Mirror, the decision of a salary boost had been decided prior to this.

Reds teammate Joe Gomez earned a national team spot with Gareth Southgate owing to his strong performances earlier in the campaign, and the teenager is being backed for the same ahead of the summer World Cup. x x x x xx  xx x xx x x x x x
