Sean Spicer, the former White House press secretary, said Melissa McCarthy should share the Emmy award she won for spoofing him on “Saturday Night Live.”
He would talk to “SNL” about appearing on the NBC series, Spicer said in a video posted Monday night on The Blast.
“If they ask, we’ll have a conversation,” he said.
Actress Melissa McCarthy went viral with sketches in which she spoofed Spicer on “Saturday Night Live,” and won an Emmy on Sunday for the skits.
President Donald Trump has a “great sense of humor,” Spicer said when asked if the president enjoyed the “SNL” sketches.
Spicer was asked in the video whether he enjoyed the “SNL” spoofs of him, and he responded, “The first one was funny.”
That first “SNL” sketch in which McCarthy played Spicer aired Feb. 5.
