Bola Olaniyi is from Iree town in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun state. He is a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). In this interview by Nofisat Salaudeen the Estate Consultant-turned-politician says he wants to succeed incumbent Governor Rauf Aregbesola in 2018 as the next governor of the state. Excerpts.

Please tell us about yourself?

I am Bola Sulaimon Olaniyi from Iree town in Boripe Local Government Area of Osun state. I am aspiring for the post of the executive governor of our dear state in the 2018 gubernatorial election  purposely to succeed Governor Rauf  Aregbeshola. I am an Estate Consultant outside politics. I am a member of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

As somebody born and bred in the state, I attended primary and secondary schools in Osun state. I attended Nawardeen Primary School in Iree and then the African Bethel School, also in Iree, from where I graduated in 1978. I attended Anglican Grammar School  at Arigbajo in the year 1979 and I graduated in the year 1982 with a very good grades. I also attended both the Polytechnic, Ibadan and the Yaba College of Technology.

I  have said all these to let you know that I am someone with my background right here in Osun state. I lived among the people and have been with them politically for a very long time.
