Paul Merson believes Tottenham Hotspur will struggle to secure three points against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.
Spurs dropped points against rudderless West Brom at Wembley at the weekend after Harry Kane scored a late equaliser to rescue a point from what should have been a winnable home fixture.
Tottenham have only managed to secure a point from their last two Premier League games after Arsenal were resounding 2-0 winners against Spurs in the north London derby earlier this month.
The Lilywhites were brilliant 2-1 winners against Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in their penultimate Champions League group-stage fixture last week to secure a place in the last 16.
Tottenham will make the trip to Leicester on Tuesday night as the Foxes continue to adjust to life under Craig Shakespeare’s replacement Claude Peul.
Former Arsenal midfielder Merson believes Tottenham will find life difficult against the 2016 Premier League champions.
“A shocking result for Spurs on Saturday (against West Bromwich Albion),” Merson told Sky Sports.
“I just think with Tottenham that if teams do not have a go at them, they struggle.
“If you do not have a go at them and just sit back into shape, they do not have anybody who can break you down.
