Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski is a shock target for Liverpool in the summer transfer window. The impressive 23-year-old has been linked with a move to Anfield in the past, but having scored eight goals this season it appears that Jurgen Klopp has decided now is the right time to make a move for the player.
The Napoli man, who joined the club in 2016 from rivals Udinese, has represented his country of Poland over 30 times since 2013 and is now considered the best young player in his homeland. Aged just 23-years-old, Jurgen Klopp is confident that signing Zielinski now will guarantee the club will get the best years of the midfielder’s career at Anfield.
It is understood that Liverpool are weighing up a bid of around £30 million for Zielinski and this is some way short of Napoli’s valuation which is believed to be closer to £42 million.
Zielinski has three years remaining on his deal in Naples and is also being monitored by Juventus.
