As per one of the latest reports by Leeds Live, German Bundesliga outfit, Hamburger SV, are perceived to be disinterested to make use of Pierre-Michel Lasogga in their endeavours next season. The German striker is currently plying his trade on loan at Leeds United and the Red Shorts are against the idea of keeping Lasogga in their books next season.

Hamburger have inked a stuttering campaign in the German top flight this season and are currently placed at the bottom-most spot in the league standings, having collected merely 18 points from 27 league appearances. Lasogga made a move to the Elland Road on loan in the summer when the Whites were performing under the tutelage of Thomas Christiansen.

Leeds United started the season in a promising manner but as the campaign progressed, they withered away. After Christiansen faced the axe last month, Paul Heckingbottom was appointed but the former Barnsley manager has not been very convincing either. The Yorkshire based outfit have garnered 50 points from 38 games and are at the 14th spot in the table and their hope for promotion seems to be done and dusted for this season.

The Peacocks will have to come back a lot stronger next season to mount a serious challenge for promotion. To do the same, Heckingbottom would need to be shrewd in the summer transfer window as he needs to lure quality players to his ranks. The attacking department does need some reinforcements as finding the back of the net has been an issue at times…
