Manchester United emerged as surprised contenders for an unsettled Alexis Sanchez after what seemed like an imminent departure to the Etihad. But there’s a catch.

The talented winger attempted to push a deal through to Manchester City during the summer transfer window, but failed to do so after Arsenal’s move for AS Monaco’s Thomas Lemar failed to materialise.
