Alexis Sanchez has been left out of the Arsenal squad for the visit to Bournemouth ahead of his imminent departure from the club.

The Chilean forward, 29, appears to have played his final game for the Gunners and seems increasingly likely to move to Manchester with rivals City and United battling for his signature.

Arsenal want up to £40million for Sanchez, who will command wages in the region of £300,000-a-week, and it appears league leaders City have balked at a deal United look much more ready to do business.

Sanchez, who has less than six months to run on his contract, trained on Saturday and is not injured. His place in the Arsenal side has been taken by Danny Welbeck.
