Stoke City want to speak again with Martin O’Neill over their managerial vacancy at the Bet365 Stadium after negotiations broke down with Espanyol boss Quique Sanchez Flores.
Former Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is also emerging as a viable alternative should the Midlands club fail to reach agreement with 65-year-old O’Neill.
