The official Bundesliga website claim that Hamburg’s Jann-Fiete Arp is Germany’s answer to Harry Kane.
The 17-year-old has made an impressive start to life in senior football.
Arp rose through the academy at Hamburg, like Kane at Spurs, to become one of the club’s biggest and best talents.
Bundesliga raving about Arp
Even the Bundesliga are raving about the up-and-coming talent that is Jann-Fiete Arp.
In the article is he compared to legendary German forward Miroslav Klose and labelled the ‘German Harry Kane’.
Kane role model
Jann-Fiete Arp speaking to UEFA on his favourite striker:
“If there was just one player I had to pick as my role model, it’s Harry Kane.
He went through all the youth teams in his club, became a first-team player in that club and was even the league’s top scorer, twice.
Now, he’s an international. In the space of three years, Kane has made every step that you dream of as a young player.”
On 28 October, Arp became the first player born in the 21st century to score in Germany’s top flight.
This came just a game after he made his first appearance in the Bundesliga.
The impressive German forward then went on to score the following week against Stuttgart, starting every game since.
Back in July, Arp signed a new contract at his boyhood club until 2019.
