Sam Allardyce looks like he’s set to become the next Everton manager – but he is only the third most searched for name linked to the post.
Since October 23 when Ronald Koeman was sacked, Sean Dyche is the man with most searches connected to Everton according to Google Trends.
He’s followed by Marco Silva and then Sam Allardyce, with David Unsworth in fourth and David Moyes in fifth, just above Diego Simeone.
Bizarrely Liverpool FC great and current Reds under 18s manager Steven Gerrard was the eighth most searched for name connected to Everton manager rumours.
He was about as searched for as Thomas Tuchel and Louis van Gaal.
Over the past five weeks, Silva has been the name most consistently searched for by Blues fans, peaking at the end of October but remaining high since then.
Former Dortmund manager Tuchel had the biggest spike in search immediately after Koeman was sacked which was also when search on Google peaked, but has since disappeared from the reckoning.
Allardyce first appeared in search around the end of October, with search for his name previously peaking around Bonfire night before this week.
