Watford v Man United

Watford host Manchester United at Vicarage Road on Tuesday night.

Watford made it back-to-back wins with a convincing victory at Newcastle on Saturday. Will Hughes opened the scoring with his second goal in as many matches. An own goal from DeAndre Yedlin doubled Watford’s lead before Andre Gray wrapped things up.

The victory leaves Watford in 8th, two points behind Liverpool and three behind Spurs.

Watford’s home form has been substantially poorer than their record on the road this season, while the opposite can be said of Man United. The Red Devils have lost three of their last four matches away from home.

Man United followed up their midweek Champions League defeat with a narrow 1-0 win over Brighton, courtesy of an own goal from Lewis Dunk. Jose Mourinho admitted after the match that he thought Brighton deserved more.

With Man City only in action on Wednesday night, United have the chance to temporarily close the gap on the league leaders to five points.

Three Man United stars go missing

Man United travelled down south on Monday before the Watford game.

That afforded journalists the chance to spot who is in Man United’s travelling party.
