Watford have this afternoon provided an update on the future of attacker Richarlison, revealing that the Brazilian will under no circumstances be sold in January.
Richarlison, a Brazilian U20 international, made the surprise move to Vicarage Road this summer from Fluminense, having been tracked by a number of Europe’s biggest clubs.
All of Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona were linked with moves for the winger/forward, who has since gone on to enjoy a hugely impressive start to life in the Premier League.
Despite his tender years and lack of European experience, Richarlison has taken to English football like a duck to water, racking up 5 goals and 3 assists in 13 Premier League outings to this point in the campaign.
Unsurprisingly, Richarlison’s showings for the Hornets have not gone unnoticed amongst the giants of the Premier League, with reports stemming from the English press over recent weeks suggesting that Tottenham have been joined by London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in keeping tabs on the progress of the 20-year-old.
At present, Arsenal are thought to maintain the most concrete interest in the Brazilian starlet’s services, due to the expected departure of Alexis Sanchez either in January or next summer.
Despite setting Watford back £11.2 million just 4 months ago, the interest of so many top clubs in his signature has led to rumours that Richarlison’s valuation now sits around the £30 million mark.
