The defending UEFA Champions League winners, Real Madrid, registered a staggering 3-0 victory against Juventus in the 1st leg of the quarterfinals of the European competition, but the headlines were stolen by Madrid’s superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, for his out-of-the-world strike.

The 33-year-old pulled off an absolutely perfect bicycle kick to score his second of the night and in the process caused utter mayhem across every social media platform as the fans around the globe simply started to label the insane goal as ‘the best goal of Ronaldo’s career’, with some even going to the extent of calling it as ‘the best goal of the Champions League era’.

Meanwhile, many have compared the former United star’s goal to one of ‘the best’ strikes of England’s top flight, which came back in 2011 by a certain gentleman known as Wayne Rooney against Red Devils’ cross-town rivals, Man City.

Wazza’s famous overhead kick stunned every single individual linked to the football fraternity, which is pretty much what CR7’s strike has done.

The debate as to which goal was better could possibly go on for decades, however, United legend, Rio Ferdinand, who was on punditry duty for BT Sport earlier this week, has given his verdict that Ronaldo’s overhead screamer was better than that of his compatriot because Rooney’s goal was off his shin.
