Arsene Wenger has vowed to look at Arsenal’s disastrous 2-1 loss at Bournemouth “in a very objective and harsh way”.

Arsenal threw away a 52nd minute lead from Hector Bellerin’s low strike in the space of four minutes as first Callum Wilson and then Jordon Ibe struck to earn Bournemouth their first win against the Gunners.

The defeat bore all the hallmarks of the other five games Wenger’s side have lost on the road this year as they failed to make the most of their periods of dominance whilst responding to the setback of Wilson’s equaliser by crumbling under the slightest exertion of pressure from Bournemouth, who had been only a point off the relegation zone before kick-off.

“We were 1-0 up and suddenly we lost two goals and we don’t know where they came from,” Wenger told BBC Sport. “It is very frustrating.
