Russia captain Fyodor Smolov, who plays for Russian side Krasnodar, wants West Ham to sign him in the current transfer window.
Hammers boss David Moyes is looking to ship out several strikers this month, with Diafra Sakho close to moving to Crystal Palace and Javier Hernandez being made available for transfer.
Andre Ayew could also be on his way back to Swansea which would leave plenty of space in the squad for 27-year-old forward Smolov.
Solhekol claims the player who was linked with a shock move to Real Madrid in December would be available for as little as £15million.
“Other players that could be coming into West Ham, this one is really really interesting,” he said on Sky Sports News.
“The Russia captain Fyodor Smolov says he wants to sign for West Ham.
“The 27-year-old striker wants to move to London from Russian side Krasnodar.
“He scored two really really memorable goals against Spain in November which led to reports that Real Madrid wanted to sign him this month.
“He’s been described as the Russian David Beckham.
“He would cost about £15million.”
Smolov has scored 48 goals in 64 league games for Krasnodar since arriving from Dynamo Moscow in 2015.
