When Manchester United’s group stage draws were announced, fans were delighted to have received a rather easy group to beat following their return to Champions League football.

And when the knockout stage draws were announced, the prospect of going up against a mediocre Sevilla side looked positive.

Unfortunately, United supporters couldn’t dream for too long, as they crashed out of the European competition by the hands of the humble La Liga side. A 1-2 home loss following a goalless draw in Spain meant that Sevilla went through to the next round.

However, Jose Mourinho refused to wield any negative attitude after the defeat, and insisted that his side is still capable of clinching the FA Cup and securing a top four place in the Premier League.

Needless to say, fans are enraged about the result, and were left disappointed badly. More than the loss, the majority are dissatisfied with the style of play the Portuguese tactician has induced into the squad.
